Online programmes

Q: Are they coaching or courses?

A: The online programmes are something in between. They contain 6 steps. Step 1 starts off with coaching questions to establish the current situation, and depending on your response, you then receive a personalised email containing steps 2 and 3. These consist of exercises, suggestions, techniques and more questions for you to respond to. You are then invited to work on steps 4 to 6 and give a summary of your achievement. You will then receive your 3rd personalised email with further help if you haven't reached your goal.

Q: What happens if I get stuck or don't understand something?

A: We will clarify anything you don't understand and offer tips to help you move forward.

Q: What if I decide not to finish?

A: We will contact you from time to time to check on your progress, but the decision to not finish the programme or put it on hold is yours. We will however just confirm with you that you don't need further clarification or help.

Supervision for Coaches

Q: Do I need supervision?

A: If you wish to be accredited by organisations such as ICF or the Association for Coaching, they would normally require you to be supervised.

Q: I guess at this stage I just want to know if I'm doing it right. Is that what a supervisor can do for me?

A: Yes, you can discuss your clients and style of coaching with your supervisor in complete confidence. She/he will offer insights, experience and objectivity to help build your confidence as you develop your coaching skills.

Stress Management

Q: I work in a fast moving company and some of my team are beginning to feel stressed. Should I go for a workshop to help them with stress management, or an individual approach?

A: This largely depends on what you're trying to achieve. A one day workshop for instance will give everyone tips and advice on what to look out for with regards to stress symptoms and how to deal with them. An individual programme however will be specific to the individual. With a series of one to one sessions, the individual will learn to take back control, see stress from another perspective and be able to put into practice an individually tailored plan of action.

Business Coaching

Q: What can business coaching do for my business that an adviser can't?

A: A coach will help you to look at where you are now and where you'd like to be. A coach will encourage you to set a goal and come up with your own solutions to take your business forward. A coach will get you to look at things from another perspective opening up many opportunities that you'd never previously thought of.

Q: How will I know if it's been successful?

A: At the start of the coaching relationship, your coach will ask you how you will know the relationship has been successful. You have the opportunity to set the measure of success and monitor progress along the way.

Personal Development Coaching

Q: Why bother with coaching when I can read a self-help book that is only a fraction of the cost?

A: It's true that you can buy a self-help book much more cheaply than coaching, but have you ever wondered why you don't act on the advice given? With the support of a coach to encourage and keep you motivated, you are much more likely to achieve your goals.

Q: How will I know if the coach is right for me?

A: You should always have an initial introduction session with your coach to find out whether you feel you could work together. In this session, the coach should explain how she/he works, and should encourage you to ask as many questions as you like so that you will feel comfortable with any arrangement. Should either of you feel the relationship isn't working it should be discussed with a view to either resolving the issue and continuing, or amicably terminating the agreement.
